As a Structural Engineer (Transmission Line) Summer Intern at Black & Veatch in Orlando, FL, you will play a meaningful role in addressing some of the world's most critical infrastructure challenges. This internship offers the opportunity to contribute to diverse, impactful projects that support our clients' goals while fostering your professional growth and advancing the success of Black & Veatch.
Key responsibilities include: supporting development of design specifications and contract drawings, performing various tasks to support engineering analyses, report production, and designs, preparing basic calculations, analyzing systems utilizing computer modeling, and organizing and filing project materials and references.
Preferred qualifications include analytical skills, communications skills, both written and oral, initiative, self-starter, highly motivated, attention to detail, mathematical skills, and problem solving skills.
Minimum qualifications include current enrollment in an ABET accredited university in Civil Engineering program with a preferred emphasis in Structural Engineering. No experience required. All applicants must be able to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements which may include any/all of the following: criminal/civil background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search, in compliance with any applicable laws and regulations.
This intern position is expected to be in the office on a full-time basis.
