As a Summer Intern at Black & Veatch in Raleigh, North Carolina, you will help address some of the world's most pressing infrastructure challenges. You will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of projects to meet our clients' needs and contribute to the growth and success of Black & Veatch. You will be assigned to a functional area in Underground Transmission Line.
Hands-on experience at an employee-owned engineering, procurement, consulting, and construction company
Learning opportunities through mentorship and co/lab trainings
Networking opportunities with leading experts in the industry
Assist in the development of electrical engineering deliverables like reports, drawings, specifications, and studies
Assist with the engineering analyses, designs, and report production
Collaborate with other disciplines and schedule project deliverables
Organize and evaluate data, utilizing computer modeling to analyze systems
Organize project materials, references, and documentation
Relevant coursework or knowledge in Power Systems, Motors, Transformers, Renewable Energy, Power Delivery, or Three Phase Power Calculations
Understanding of engineering design principles and design guides
Problem-solving skills, effective written communication, and the ability to build relationships
Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
No experience required. Current enrollment in ABET accredited university in Electrical Engineering program. All applicants must be able to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements (if selected) which may include any/all of the following: criminal/civil background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search, in compliance with any applicable laws and regulations.
This intern position is expected to be in the office on a full-time basis.
