Do you enjoy serving others, have a passion for health-care, and being a part of a collaborative team? Barnes-Jewish Hospital is seeking a dedicated OR Support Tech I to join our dynamic team at the Center for Advanced Medicine.

The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced surgical area which services a broad range of patients. This role is essential for ensuring that our patients have what is needed for intraoperative care.

Hours: 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM - Late day once a week

Shift: 5 8-hour shifts M-F (no weekends or holidays)

Preferred Qualifications

Function as a team member in the operating room to support medical and nursing staff during the pre, intra, and post-operative phase, including room turnover, clean and stock supplies and equipment and patient transport.

• Transports patients timely, safely and with proper documents.
• Assists with room turnover. Has necessary equipment gathered, assists with gathering and removing soiled trash, and linen, biohazardous waste.
• Assists with positioning and prepping of patient. Obtains blood and blood products, additional supplies, equipment, instruments as needed during procedure.
• Performs housekeeping duties to assigned areas.
