The Fuel Sales Representative (FSR) is a key member of the Fuel and Licensing team. The FSR supports the growth and ongoing operation of the Bison Plus Fuel program by offering value-added service to our carriers and building partnership.

The FSR will be involved with selling and onboarding prospective program participants, initiating a relationship, explaining the program details, working with the respective parties through the on-boarding process, providing ongoing solution-based customer service, and ultimately solidify the relationship to grow our business and create long term partnership.

Specific Responsibilities include:

  • Analyzing prospective program candidates (partner carriers), creating value assessments, contacting carriers to effectively initiate conversation, presenting and promoting the programs, ensuring the program details are properly understood.
  • Organizing, preparing, and explaining the onboarding documents and facilitating the onboarding process between all parties involved, working together with the Fuel Program Administrator.
  • Ensuring all aspects of the internal tracking system are properly updated on time.
  • Developing and maintaining a strong and positive relationship with internal stakeholders and external partners and provide strong solution-based customer service to the program participants.
  • Monitoring emails or be available outside of normal working hours to help problem solve issues
  • Working as an integral part of the Fuel and Licensing team, assisting in other departmental duties when required, providing excellent service to Bison's drivers and internal customers.

Other Tasks:

  • Engage in other projects and activities as necessary to the position.
  • Works closely with our Fuel & Licensing team in a variety of tasks to provide prompt and effective service to our customers.
  • Other duties as required and assigned by the Director, Fuel & Licensing

Our Ideal Candidate will possess:

  • Experience in the logistics or transportation industry is required.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Experience in successfully selling and building relationships
  • Business-minded, solution, and service-focused.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of professional, positive, and persistent attitude and confidentiality,
  • Demonstrated skills in establishing and maintaining a strong relationship.
  • Highly motivated, persistent, target driven, and willing to take initiative.
  • Computer literacy and high proficiency in Microsoft Office software
  • Demonstrated attention to detail, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to manage in a multi-task environment and thrive in a fast-paced business.
  • Ability to quickly adapt to changes, shift focus, meet deadlines, and complete time-sensitive tasks.
  • Advanced command of the English language with strong written and oral communication skills.
