✨ About The Role
- Responsible for building the foundation of BioRender's data infrastructure and systems by architecting data flows, warehouse, processes, and schemas
- Identify key areas of improvement in data infrastructure and work cross-functionally to execute high-impact improvements
- Define and implement reliable standards for moving data between production environment and data warehouse
- Create efficient data pipelines to ingest and move data across different environments and services
- Develop scalable workflows, data infrastructure, processes, and documentation to enable data scientists and analysts to develop deep analyses
⚡ Requirements
- Experienced data engineer with 5+ years of relevant industry experience, specializing in data warehousing platforms and data lake architectures
- Strong expertise in SQL, Python, Spark, and data pipeline orchestration tools like Airflow
- Detail-oriented and process-focused individual with a growth mindset and a strong work ethic
- Excellent communication skills to explain complex solutions clearly to internal stakeholders and cross-functional teams
- Ability to creatively solve complex architectural problems, think about tradeoffs, and design scalable data infrastructure
