Associate Director, Scientific Communications – Neuropsychiatry

The Associate Director, Scientific Communications – Neuropsychiatry (NP) role is part of the integrated Global Medical NP Team, a strategic partner within Worldwide Medical and is responsible for the strategic planning and execution of a high-quality scientific communication and publication plan to ultimately improve patient outcomes world-wide. The Associate Director, Scientific Communications will work cross-functionally and will ensure compliant and impactful communications including publications and/or medical communications.

What You'll Do

  • Leads the development of the scientific publication plan that reflects the integrated evidence generation planning, critical data readouts, interim/ad hoc analysis, etc. in consultation with the Global Medical TA Lead.
  • Leads the development of publications reporting scientific and clinical data.
  • Leads the development of Global Scientific Platform to enable consistent strategically aligned communications worldwide and cross-functionally.
  • Lead the development of medical communication materials including Medical Briefs, Field Medical slide modules, Master Q&A, podcasts for pipeline and marketed products as needed to support the Regions.
  • Administrative Oversight including budget management, vendor and agency management.
  • Demonstrates therapeutic area and product knowledge along with serving as expert on the development process of publications and medical communication materials.

Required Skills

  • MD, PhD, PharmD, or comparable advanced degree is required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of pharmaceutical/biotech industry experience is required.
  • Experience with technical writing and developing medical field materials is required.
  • Experience working on or leading a high-performing publications team is required.

Job Level: Management

The base compensation range for this role is: $152,000.00-$209,000.00. Base salary offered is determined through an analytical approach utilizing a combination of factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills & experience, job location, and internal equity. Regular employees are eligible to receive both short term and long-term incentives, including cash bonus and equity incentive opportunities, designed to reward recent achievements and recognize your future potential based on individual, business unit and company performance.
