Role Overview:

We are building a new Data & Intelligence organization and looking for a Senior Engineering Manager to lead this journey. This role is ideal for someone with deep expertise in data science modeling and AI, who can also act as a technical reference for the team while driving strategy and execution. You will guide projects that create real business impact in areas such as fraud detection, customer segmentation, churn prediction, lifetime value (LTV), recommendation systems, responsible gambling, odds optimization, and natural language processing (e.g., text analytics, customer support classification, content moderation).

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and mentor a team of data scientists and ML engineers
• Act as a technical authority in AI and Data Science modeling
• Drive the development of predictive and prescriptive models, from design to deployment
• Ensure best practices in model observability, accuracy, quality, and reliability
• Collaborate with global stakeholders, delivering insights and AI solutions that shape business strategy
• Oversee the adoption of AWS, Databricks, Python, and PySpark as core technologies
• Foster a culture of experimentation, accountability, and data-driven decision-making

What We're Looking For:

• Strong track record in Data Science modeling and AI, delivering business impact
• Hands-on expertise in Python, PySpark, Databricks, and AWS
• Experience leading and developing high-performing data science teams
• Excellent communication skills and fluency in English (spoken and written)
• Ability to work in a global, distributed environment
• Previous experience in iGaming, betting, or other regulated industries is a strong plus
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively with diverse teams across various departments, fostering an environment of open communication and shared goals to achieve collective success
• Proven ability to set ambitious goals and continuously strive for improvement. Demonstrates a strong focus on achieving high-quality outcomes, consistently pushing for greater efficiency and performance
• Committed to being a reliable and supportive team member, fostering trust and collaboration
• Ability to make informed and confident decisions while bringing your own perspectives to the table
• Demonstrates a strong commitment to understanding and meeting the needs of stakeholders and customers. Ensures that decisions and actions have a positive, lasting impact by delivering solutions that exceed expectations, building trust, and fostering long-term relationships

Nice to Have:

• Experience with MLOps and model observability frameworks
• Familiarity with regulatory and compliance-driven environments
