Design / Geotechnical Engineer

Job Description

In collaboration with the Projects and Production departments:

  • You prepare technical studies for the preparation of commercial offers;
  • You provide innovative technical solutions to the commercial teams (equations and variants);
  • You assist the Project Manager with questions about project design, particularly risk and opportunity analyses;
  • You assist the Project Manager in his contacts with the various external partners, such as architects, design firms, contracting authorities, and control bureaus.
  • You make and/or guide technical and economic optimization studies related to the execution of projects;
  • You participate in start-up meetings for very technical sites;
  • You provide technical support to the sites;
  • You are involved in the preparation and optimization of method overviews based on feedback from the operational teams.

In collaboration with your colleagues in the Engineering team:

  • You contribute to continuous innovation processes to address environmental challenges, such as the reuse of existing elements, innovative techniques and materials, new calculation methods, etc.
  • You are involved in development and control groups around research and international technical literature, the academic world, and technical committees.
  • You make analyses that go beyond the geotechnical scope, such as calculations of reinforced concrete or steel structures.
  • You participate in the various internal and external technical and social events and activities of the department and the company.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum required education: Geotechnical, civil, or industrial engineer
  • Professional experience: 5 years in a structural or geotechnical design firm
  • Languages: You are bilingual NL/FR
  • Skills: Ability to collaborate, critical thinking and synthesis, results-oriented, rigorous, and creative.

  • Scope: From 1 to 6 projects in the design and execution phase
  • Contact persons: Project department, Production department, and external stakeholders
