Lead Hvac Services Technician
The Lead HVAC Services Technician is responsible for providing local market sales support, technical service delivery, technician development and training. The Lead Technician is the local market Subject Matter Expert for chiller, controls, or mechanical service disciplines. The Lead Technician contributes to local market profitability by assisting the Service Coordinator in the following: coordinating and developing the team on how to profitably execute work, communicate effectively with sub-contractors and customers, understand how their actions impact job profitability and cash flow, and maintain customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities include:
- Supports sales in estimating.
- Supports Service Coordinator in scheduling and coordinating work.
- Supports technicians in complex technical issues.
- Installation and commission of a wide variety of HVAC equipment.
- Troubleshoots, diagnoses, and repairs a wide variety of HVAC equipment.
- Performs maintenance of HVAC equipment such as atmospheric boiler, water cooled chiller.
- Establishes and maintain clear communications with customers while both on and off the customer job sites.
- Assists in maintaining inventory and tool procurement for all technicians.
- Promotes and performs all aspects of BMCC's safety procedures and policies.
Qualifications:
Required Education, Experience, and Qualifications
- Chiller rebuild experience.
- Current Licensed Technician (mandatory) or verifiable experience in service of commercial HVAC systems.
- Holds EPA Certification.
- Skills of Level IV Technician.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Detail-oriented and willing to tackle various ongoing projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Versed in the industry and the Company's competitors.
- Ability to multitask and perform duties outside of the scope of work when necessary.

Travel Requirements
- 0-5% of time will be spent traveling to job site(s)/office location.
Physical/Work Environment Requirements
- Ascending and descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, and/or poles.
- Climbing stairs.
- Moving self in different positions to accomplish tasks in various environments including tight and confined spaces.
- Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers.
- Operating machinery and/or power tools.
- Operating motor vehicles.
- Outdoor elements such as precipitation, heat, cold, and/or wind.
- Noisy environment.
- Light to heavy work that includes adjusting and/or moving objects from 20-100 pounds.
