The Service Sales Representative I is responsible for determining customer needs, developing solutions, estimating work and selling HVAC service agreements for commercial clients. They are meeting sales objectives, developing customer relationships and creating a backlog of work to support short and long term goals.
Responsibilities include sourcing and contacting potential clients weekly, documenting and reporting on findings accurately, thoroughly and timely. They update proposal logs regularly, work with other team members to generate more work for Services, create higher profit-margins and maintain margins for both maintenance and proposed work. They complete customer satisfaction sheets, determine customer needs, estimate work, suggest upgrades, and develop/present solutions based on the company's services offered. They monitor, report and meet sales plan goals, develop and maintain an active proposal backlog that supports achieving the designed sales plan, and develop long-term relationships to create brand loyalty. They thoroughly learn the company's service offerings to explain to clients and persuade sales.
Qualifications include five (5) years' experience in HVAC, Mechanical or related sales, selling owner-direct projects and maintenance agreements. They must have a working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. They must be organized and self-motivated with the ability to source leads, make cold calls, follow up calls, and visit potential clients. They must have a professional manner and appearance, effective verbal and written communication skills, and be detail-oriented and willing to tackle various ongoing projects in a fast-paced environment. They must be versed in the industry and the Company's competitors and have the ability to multitask and perform duties outside of the scope of work when necessary.
Preferred qualifications include a Bachelor degree in a technical or business discipline or a minimum of five years' experience with a proven track record in HVAC, Mechanical or related sales.
Travel requirements include 15% of time spent traveling to job site(s)/office location. Physical/work environment requirements include prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer, ascending and descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, and/or poles, climbing stairs, and moving self in different positions to accomplish tasks in various environments including tight and confined spaces.
