Job Description:

The Transaction Advisory Services (TAS) Manager will lead financial due diligence and M&A advisory engagements for both strategic and financial buyers. This role bridges execution and leadership, managing client deliverables while coaching team members and contributing to business development. The TAS Manager will work closely with senior leadership to support the growth of the practice, serving as a trusted advisor to clients on buy- and sell-side transactions.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and execute financial due diligence engagements, including Quality of Earnings analysis, working capital assessments, and operational reviews for corporate and private equity clients.
  • Lead teams in analyzing financial and operational results of businesses to be acquired or sold through accounting record reviews, management interviews, and data analysis.
  • Identify potential risks, negotiation factors, and deal structuring considerations to support transaction decision-making.
  • Develop and present clear, concise reports and recommendations to clients, including C-level executives.
  • Supervise, mentor, and train staff by providing feedback, guidance, and opportunities for professional growth.
  • Manage engagement scope, budgets, timelines, and deliverables to ensure high-quality client service.
  • Contribute to business development by maintaining client relationships and identifying opportunities to cross-sell firm services.
  • Stay current on industry trends, M&A activity, and valuation drivers across industries to advise clients on positioning and value creation opportunities.
  • Maintain the highest degree of confidentiality and professional integrity in all client interactions.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or Business Administration required; Master's degree preferred.
  • Active CPA license required; CFA or investment banking certifications (Series 79, 63, 7) a plus.
  • 5–7 years of progressive experience in Transaction Advisory Services, public accounting (audit or consulting), investment banking, corporate development, or FP&A.
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge, including US GAAP; familiarity with IFRS a plus.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to adapt communication style across audiences.
  • Proven experience managing teams, mentoring staff, and developing talent.
  • Demonstrated project management skills, including managing budgets, timelines, and multiple concurrent engagements.
  • Strong financial modeling, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Willingness to travel up to 20%.

Preferred Experience:

  • Prior experience in a professional services or advisory firm.
  • Direct client-facing experience with corporate executives and/or private equity investors.
  • Established professional network within the M&A or investment community.
