As the Manufacturing Engineer Intern, you will report directly to the Manufacturing Engineer Lead. Your daily schedule will include frequent interactions with a multi-disciplinary team, across teams from design to manufacturing to operations. You will need to work in Singapore. Remote work is not an option.
Support engineering and production teams in developing and updating manufacturing plans for products
Assist in drafting and maintaining work instructions, test plans, and Bills of Materials (BOMs)
Help communicate manufacturing requirements to suppliers and support training of manufacturing personnel
Assist with providing technical support for production-related issues involving equipment, processes, quality, and systems
Support troubleshooting activities and participate in root cause analysis under guidance from senior engineers
Assist in implementing and maintaining quality control procedures on the manufacturing floor, including incoming and outgoing inspections
Help track corrective actions and follow up on quality-related issues
Maintain accurate records of inspections, tests, and audits, and assist in preparing quality performance reports
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality, manufacturing efficiency, and reduce defects
Support preparation of training materials and assist in training sessions on quality standards and procedures
Assist in supplier quality coordination to ensure materials and components meet required specifications
Support compliance with industry standards, regulations, and internal manufacturing procedures
Provide day-to-day technical and engineering support to manufacturing and operations teams under supervision
At least a Diploma in Mechanical or a related discipline, or currently pursuing an Undergraduate degree in a relevant field
Exposure to or experience in manufacturing or quality engineering (design experience is not required)
Working knowledge of product development and manufacturing processes
Familiarity with quality control and testing procedures such as EMI/EMC, vibration, temperature, and humidity testing is an advantage
Basic experience with Altium Designer or other comparable PCB CAD tools
Exposure to 2D schematics, wire harnessing, or cable assembly design software is a plus
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Able to manage multiple tasks and thrive in a fast-paced environment
Good written and verbal communication skills
Comfortable working in a cross-functional team environment
Strong organisational and time-management skills
