Service Technician
Beaches Tanning Center has been providing beautiful results for our clients for over 20 years, now with 11 locations throughout Utah and Salt Lake Counties. We are looking for an experienced and friendly Maintenance Technician to join our corporate team. We are a fast-growing company seeking a talented and professional individual to fit right in with our fun atmosphere.
This individual will have a critical role in the overall maintenance of equipment and be responsible for keeping the facilities in pristine condition. In this position, the goal will be to repair, replace and maintain all equipment with little to no down time working closely with the Maintenance Manager.
Beaches is seeking an organized, self-motivated and detail-oriented individual with experience and the ability to complete priorities and problem solve.
Key Responsibilities:
- Anticipate, identify, and correct any and all problems involving the facilities and/or tanning equipment
- Diagnose and trouble shoot tanning equipment, spray tan booths and other equipment
- Regular preventative maintenance; changing of lamps, cleaning out filters, etc.
- Repair and replace defective parts
- Assist with installation and moving units
- Perform minor non-licensed electrical repair of outlets, switches, door magnets, lights, ballasts
- Other miscellaneous duties as required
General Skills and Competencies:
- 2+ years' experience in maintenance/repair of electrical, mechanical or automotive systems preferred
- Experience in painting/wall repair
- High school diploma or higher education
- Valid Utah driver's license and clean driving record
- Experience with tools and equipment used to troubleshoot, maintain and repair
- Must be an effective problem solver
- Must be professional in appearance language and behavior
- Must be clean, organized and detail-oriented
- Strong critical thinking skills
- Strong communication skills and ability to follow directions
- Excellent work habits with the ability to work independently or in group settings
- Proficient time management skills
- Must have positive attitude and ability to work in TEAM environment
Requirements:
- High school diploma/GED required
- 2 or more years of facility maintenance experience or related experience
- Previous electrical, plumbing, automotive or mechanical experience strongly preferred
- Flexible schedule, available to work 40 hours per week and able to travel
