The Senior Director of Marketing Technology Services plays a pivotal leadership role in shaping the strategic direction, architecture, design, and deployment of large-scale marketing technology solutions. This senior position collaborates closely with key stakeholders across various departments including Marketing, IT, Business Development, Legal, People & Culture, as well as external consulting resources, and respective business teams to identify priorities, articulate business needs, and streamline processes. The Senior Director of Marketing Technology Services will be responsible for developing product roadmaps and managing the implementation of marketing technology platforms that enhance scalability and operational efficiency, ensuring alignment with the firm's strategic objectives.
Defines and leads the overarching strategy for marketing technologies and data management initiatives, ensuring alignment with the firm's strategic goals
Engages in high-level collaboration with key stakeholders across the firm to understand business objectives, driving the development and execution of the marketing technology strategy and vision
Advocates for Marketing with IT and vendors, providing strategic and technical guidance to foster consistent support and innovation
Oversees vendor relationships for MarTech platforms, including contract renewals and negotiations, collaborating closely with procurement and legal teams
Facilitates strategic planning sessions with cross-functional teams to align strategies, set priorities, and initiate inter-dependent projects that drive firm success
Partners with business and IT project teams at a strategic level to ensure both system and business objectives are clearly understood and achieved
Provides executive oversight for the deployment, ongoing support, maintenance, and continuous enhancements of large-scale marketing related technologies and platforms, ensuring they meet business needs
Proactively identifies and addresses areas where existing policies and procedures require change, or the creation of new policies to maintain the integrity of internal controls and adherence to regulatory changes for the business
Leads the MarTech budget planning process, working closely with Marketing & Communication and IT leadership
Evaluates and recommends emerging technologies and innovations that align with and advance firm initiatives, advocating for their adoption where appropriate
Stays abreast of technology trends and industry best practices, leveraging this knowledge to provide strategic guidance and champion the adoption of best-in-class solutions/technology to resolve business challenges
Engages in strategic analysis and planning with key stakeholders to develop and execute strategies to achieve goals, including timely and frequent revenue analysis and tracking
Cultivates and maintains strategic relationships with partners to build product roadmaps and influence the efficient usage of marketing capabilities
Other duties as required. Establishes and enforces governance, processes, and structure to enhance the adoption and effective roll-out of marketing tools
Monitors and provides performance feedback of MarTech CoE professionals throughout the performance year
Ensures MarTech CoE professionals are effectively trained on systems and processes
Prepares and conducts annual performance reviews for Mar Tech CoE professionals
Acts as career advisor to associates, senior associates, and managers
Bachelor's degree, required; with a focus in Information Technology, Business, Accounting, Finance, preferred
Ten (10) or more years of experience of IT or marketing systems, required
Experience working within a professional services environment (i.e., accounting, financial consulting, business advisory services and/or banking industries), preferred
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite, required
Experience with CRM systems, required; Microsoft Dynamics preferred
Experience with marketing automation systems, required; Marketo preferred
Experience with CMS software and solutions, required
Experience with Oracle Cloud, preferred
Experience with business intelligence reporting tools (Hyperion, Hyperon Planning, COGNOS, Business Objects, OneStream), preferred
Experience with marketing analytics tools, preferred
Excellent project management skills and organizational skills
Displays superior verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work in a deadline-driven environment while handling multiple projects simultaneously and managing process and service providers (internal and external) to accomplish desired results
Ability to successfully multi-task while working independently or within a group environment
Capable of understanding and communicating BDO business, marketplace and value proposition
Strong interpersonal and client service skills, consultative approach to working with marketing and client service professionals at all levels
Knowledge of B2B marketing strategies and tactics and their application in a professional services organization
Individual salaries that are offered to a candidate are determined after consideration of numerous factors including but not limited to the candidate's qualifications, experience, skills, and geography.
National Range: $150,000 - $170,000
Maryland Range: $150,000 - $170,000
NYC/Long Island/Westchester Range: $150,000 - $170,000
Illinois Range: $170,000 - $180,000
