Financial Service Tax Assistant Manager
BDO Ireland is seeking a skilled and experienced Tax Assistant Manager to join our successful and expanding Tax Practice.

About the Role
The portfolio includes clients operating across the Financial Services industry, including asset management, banking, securitisation, asset leasing, and insurance/reinsurance. This is a great opportunity for someone looking for a role that provides work that is varied and challenging. The successful candidate will be working directly with senior managers and partners, with significant direct client interaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Assisting the tax partners with the successful, timely and commercial delivery of tax advice to Irish and international clients
- Taking ownership of the project management of clients/assignments to ensure service delivery in line with client expectations
- Mentoring / training more junior members of the tax team
- Assisting with the compliance function of the client portfolio
- Carrying out technical research necessary to support client engagement and for internal/external thought leadership commentary
- Assist with and the ability to identify new products or services to existing and potential clients
- Assistance with the management of fee and collection targets
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- A relevant tax, legal or accountancy qualification – ITI/CTA qualified
- Strong academic record
- Good technical knowledge of corporate tax and relevant legislation and case law
- Minimum 2 years' experience in a professional tax environment – ideally with some Big 4 experience
- Financial services an advantage but not essential
- Strong commercial awareness
- Experienced in providing strong client service delivery across a portfolio of businesses/clients
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Strong ability to build good working relationships with clients and colleagues
