Type of Contract: Determined / Eventual Period Contract (Fixed Term)

We are looking for someone to:

• Supervise analysts to comply with the Mutual Funds Regulation and its modifications by the Securities and Exchange Commission, as a Custodian Bank of Mutual Funds.
• Supervise the daily reconciliation of the balances of all financial instruments or operations that make up the mutual fund portfolio.
• Supervise and control the daily balances of the mutual fund’s bank accounts.
• Monitor daily operations.
• Manage and control the opening, updating, and closing of bank accounts and intermediation accounts on behalf of the mutual fund, exercising disposition over them.
• Attend requests from Audit, Legal Services, Compliance, and Systems.
• Supervise the reconciliation and payment of invoices/commissions related to the custodian and the regulator, as well as the monthly interests received for their investments in other banks.
• Ensure the correct archiving of all documentation of the day’s operations.
• Manage the improvement of processes, seek to optimize operational controls, maintenance of the analysts’ recurring use robots, ensure that the team meets the KPIs and annual objectives among others.

Requirements:

Education: Professionals from careers in Administration, Economics, Industrial Engineering, Accounting, Finance, or related fields.

Experience: 2 to 3 years of experience in the financial sector, specifically in mutual fund operations, custodian banking, middle office, or back office of investments. Experience leading teams of analysts or operational staff. Previous experience in conciliation processes, liquidation, and custody of financial instruments. Experience in interaction with auditors, regulators (SEC), counterparties, and institutional clients.

Technical knowledge: Solid knowledge of the Mutual Funds Regulation and the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) regulation. Knowledge of local and international financial products (fixed income, variable income, derivatives, current accounts, and investment accounts). Handling of bank reconciliations and portfolio, control of balances, and daily account operations. Knowledge of operational risk management and internal controls. Handling of technological tools and automation (advanced Excel, VBA, Power BI, SQL, RPA). Familiarity with operational KPIs and process improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, etc.).
