Your role at Baxter

As a part of Connected Care Group Healthcare Systems & Technologies, the Senior Test Engineer, contributes to digital platform verification engineering vision that aligns with the organization's vision and strategic plan. Use proven understanding of engineering theory and best practice in a variety of fields to lead sophisticated projects or programs within boundaries of quality, time, and budget. Exhibit creativity and innovation in completing divisional and cross-functional/business unit goals and objectives. Contribute to the test plans and leads project assignments in the evaluation, selection and adaptation of various test techniques, procedures, and criteria with minimal mentorship. Ensures that quality is built into the design during new product development.

What you will be doing

  • Develop and execute verification test methods, protocols, and reports for verification for requirement.
  • Drive quality into product development through analysis, test and timely feedback of test results to the cross functional team.
  • Design test cases to include test methodology, test setups, materials, equipment, procedure, and acceptance criteria based on requirement and standards.
  • Own and drive failure mode analysis and root cause investigations and develop solutions.
  • Document, manage and maintain test records consistent with formal test processes and Quality Management System policies and procedures.
  • Participate in cross-functional team meetings and design reviews.
  • Create and validate test systems needed for design verification.
  • Review and analyze requirements as part of test development.
  • Plan and prepare for timely test execution by managing test material procurement and test documentation readiness such as protocols.
  • Work with global QE team during planning, development, and execution phase
  • Collaborate with Automation team to improve overall automation coverage
  • Experience in APIs, Integration and Regression testing
  • Familiar with Agile Framework

What you will bring

  • Bachelors with 6+ years of related work experience
  • Ability to troubleshoot and be resourceful - can leverage own expertise and input from others to identify and resolve critical issues. Understanding of root cause analysis methods.
  • Takes a hands-on approach to testing, fault diagnosis and isolation.
  • Proficiency with MS Office and other office productivity tools.
  • Clear and effective communication (written and oral) and presentation skills.
  • Experience creating detailed, clear and complete documentation and records. Experience with a Quality Management System preferred.
  • Good interpersonal skills and be able to work well with others across disciplines collaboratively.
  • Comfortable and effective in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment, where small teams share a broad variety of duties.
  • Experience with Postman, Selenium, Java, GitHub, JAMA, JIRA, Confluence, Python, Azure

We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career. At Baxter, we are committed to equitable pay for all employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices. The estimated base salary for this position is $96,000 to $132,000 annually. The estimated range is meant to reflect an anticipated salary range for the position. We may pay more or less than of the anticipated range based upon market data and other factors, all of which are subject to change. Individual pay is based on upon location, skills and expertise, experience, and other relevant factors. This position may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
