The Sales Outfitter performs various Selling / Customer Service activities, including greeting and acknowledging all customers in a prompt and friendly manner, handling merchandise with care, and providing information, assistance, and direction to customers.
Essential functions include supporting a strong commitment to world class customer service and ensuring a pleasant and productive shopping experience for all customers. The Sales Outfitter also demonstrates product to customers, replenishes product on shelves as required, and remains knowledgeable of advertised sales. They assist with seasonal floor merchandise moves and restocks merchandise as required. The Sales Outfitter keeps work areas clean, neat, and well stocked with supplies and follows all company policies and procedures. They provide a legendary experience for every customer by assisting in making buying decisions.
Experience/qualifications include a minimum high school education or equivalent experience. Knowledge, skills, and ability include calculating figures, communicating in a friendly and professional manner, establishing and maintaining effective working relationships, and operating a computerized point of sale register system.
Physical requirements include standing and walking during shifts, ascending or descending ladders, stairs, and ramps, communicating with others, operating machinery and power tools, and occasionally working in noisy environments.
Independent judgment is required to perform tasks and duties under general supervision, using established procedures and innovation. The Sales Outfitter often makes recommendations to work procedures, policies, and practices.
