The Industrial Engineer will be responsible for planning the utilization of facilities, equipment, materials, and personnel to improve efficiency of operations by performing the following duties:
• Set up incentive areas and maintain incentive standards and standard data.
• Issue directive memos in informing all related areas to changes.
• Analyze cost comparisons and evaluate possible cost savings measures
• Set up and maintain Bill of Materials file, packing specifications, law tag information, and customer SKU files.
• Recommends methods for improving worker efficiency and reducing waste of materials and utilities such as restructuring job duties, reorganizing work flow, relocating work stations, equipment, and plant lay outs.
• Confers with management and engineering staff to implement plans and recommendations.
• Develops management systems for cost analysis, financial planning, wage and salary administration, and job evaluation.
Qualifications/Skills:
• Prior experience working in a furniture manufacturing environment preferred
• Microsoft Excel, AS400, JDE software processing knowledge
• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Associate degree in a business related field preferred
• Ability to remain professional and courteous at all times
• Ability to communicate effectively with management
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
