This Graduate Assistant supports the Director of Engaged Scholarship in the Office of Community Engagement & Inclusion (CEI) and works to support communications and operations strategy for the CEI office. The Graduate Assistant will join a team of professional staff and students to support and further the mission of the Office of Community Engagement and Inclusion (CEI). CEI initiatives cultivate partnerships that strengthen communities and develop actively engaged citizens.
Must make a commitment to work, on average, 10-15 hours of work a week. This position is for the Fall 2025 semester with option to extend into Spring 2025.
The Graduate Assistant working with the Office of Community Engagement and Inclusion will be responsible for the following:
$25 per hour for Master's Level
$30 per hour for Doctoral Level
A passion for and high value of civic learning and community engagement
Excellent communication skills
Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail
Experience in community engagement and outreach program development, preferred
Experience in communications, strongly preferred
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Must take direction and feedback well
Must be comfortable with public speaking and group facilitation and have some experience in both
Teamplayer
Must be currently enrolled in a graduate degree program
Must be available to work weekdays and some evenings and/or weekends
