Responsible for sales of marine engines and related equipment to new and existing ship-building projects for RSA and Greater Africa.
Provide technical and commercial proposals by direct liaison with domestic and international clients
Build and sustain excellent customer relationships with owners, shipyards and other maritime industry stakeholders.
Contribute to the growth of the Marine business by developing a robust opportunity pipeline.
Effective self-management, performance ownership and priority setting.
Prepare technical and commercial offers and grow order book.
Visit various territories to hunt marine opportunities.
Gather market and competitive intelligence and participate in creating a sustainable business.
Commercial and contractual reviews ensuring Marine business deliverables are maintained.
Management reporting.
Demonstrable product knowledge in marine hardware / diesel engines / propulsion drivelines /
Electrical power generation / auxiliary engine applications.
Caterpillar product knowledge will be an advantage.
Good knowledge of marine equipment and experience with shipyards, and shipowners.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
