We set out to build the world's most trusted consulting firm – creating lasting impact for clients and pioneering a positive, people-first way of working. We work with everyone from FTSE 100 names to bright new start-ups, in every sector. You'll find us collaborating shoulder-to-shoulder with our clients, from the big picture right down to the detail: helping them define their strategy, deliver complex change, spot the right commercial opportunities, manage risk, or bring their purpose and sustainability goals to life. Our clients love how we get to know what makes their organisations tick – slotting seamlessly into their teams and being proudly geeky about solving their challenges. We have hubs in Europe, the US, Asia and Australia, and we work all around the world - from a wind farm in Wyoming to a boardroom in Berlin. Find us wherever there's a challenge to be tackled and an impact to be made. Our Global People Function are looking for an experienced HR Business Partner to join them. We have a team of dedicated and talented professionals, taking responsibility for all "people" aspects of the business. This includes the whole employee life cycle, from attracting new joiners, on-boarding, development throughout their career, ensuring they work in a balanced and healthy way, supporting them when needed, enabling efficient and effective processes throughout, every day, for their entire journey at Baringa. As we continue to grow organically, we need to ensure our people offerings are set up to enable the future size and shape of the business to operate effectively and efficiently, using the appropriate tools. Supporting the ever-evolving business needs and being a key player in the change management of the firm, is a core part of this role.
Be the HRBP for APAC, looking after the full breadth of the people agenda and being the critical point of HR support for our APAC based colleagues in Australia and Singapore. HRBP roles at Baringa are very broad, so there will be plenty of scope to operate across a range of different activities, including Performance Management, Wellness, Employee Relations, Talent Management, On boarding, Promotions, Salary reviews and People MI. You will develop and own local People Plans for your client group and be accountable for ensuring progress against this, including engaging and delegating accordingly with other parts of the People function, including People Operations, Reward, Recruitment, Employee Experience and Learning & Development. You will need to build trusted relationships and provide hands-on and strategic support to the APAC Partner Lead(s) in helping them deliver the people agenda of their business plans. You will be able to effectively support, advise, coach and upskill our people managers with a range of experience. You will deliver training programmes across APAC that educate and upskill our people on Baringa best practice and ways of working. You will enjoy being proactive with your stakeholders and be confident to challenge and influence. You will work closely with colleagues across our APAC locations, and the broader People team based in the UK, and you will need to be able to flex your approach to accommodate different jurisdictional/location requirements.
Experience within HR, and ideally within a HRBP/HR Generalist role. Experience working with APAC professional services firms and/or Partnerships is ideal. Strong employee relations knowledge and application of local labour law requirements and internal procedures including investigations, performance and sick absence management - you must be able to manage a range of employee relation cases independently and in line with local employment law. Someone who can keep themselves up to date on emerging local labour law changes, proactively evolving our internal practices to stay ahead of those changes, and upskilling colleagues and clients to operate in line with any changes. An excellent communicator and influencer who can help develop good HR practice with a strong stakeholder management capability, to interact effectively with the appropriate management teams as well as the wider business at Baringa. A self-motivated individual who can work on their own initiative, with a "can do" attitude, willing to roll-up their sleeves and "get stuck in". Operates with good judgement and risk lens, balancing the needs of local stakeholders with the long-term interests of Baringa overall. Someone who can work in true partnership with colleagues across the broader People function, including HRBP peers with individuals sitting within APAC. Comfortableness working through ambiguity and areas of the HRBP role you may not have come across before. Good project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects at any one time.
Putting People First. Baringa is a People First company and wellbeing is at the forefront of our culture. We recognise the importance of work-life balance and flexible working and provide our staff amazing benefits. Some of these benefits include: Generous Annual Leave Policy: We recognise everyone needs a well-deserved break. We provide our employees with 5 weeks of annual leave, fully available at the start of each year. In addition to this, we have introduced our 5-Year Recharge benefit which allows all employees an additional 2 weeks of paid leave after 5 years continuous service. Flexible Working: We know that the 'ideal' work-life balance will vary from person to person and change at different stages of our working lives. To accommodate this, we have implemented a hybrid working policy and introduced more flexibility around taking unpaid leave. Corporate Responsibility Days: Our world is important to us, so all our employees get 3 every year to help social and environmental causes and increase our impact on the communities that mean the most to us. Wellbeing Fund: We want to encourage all employees to take charge and prioritise their own wellbeing. We've introduced our annual People Fund to support this by offering every individual a fund to support and manage their wellbeing through an activity of their choice. Profit Share Scheme: All employees participate in the Baringa Group Profit Share Scheme so everyone has a stake in the company's success.
