To be successful Test Engineer - Functional, you should have experience with:

• Expertise in BDD/Gherkin (Cucumber, Selenium) and UI automation frameworks using Java
• Ability to develop and maintain automated test scripts across MQ, Kafka, and file-based integration patterns
• Strong functional testing experience across ST/SIT/E2E with good understanding of defect management, test execution for distributed systems in regulated banking environments, aligned to Agile and STLC practices
• Working knowledge of JIRA for test management and defect tracking
• Good understanding of Core Banking with ability to contribute to quality activities, support shift-left practices, and collaborate effectively within testing teams

Some other highly valued skills may include:

• Exposure to AI/ML tools for test optimization and willingness to learn emerging test automation techniques to improve efficiency
• Experience testing environments that combine SaaS platforms and internally built applications with familiarity in technologies like Kafka, Spring, OpenShift, Angular, or Corporate Banking systems.
