To be successful as a Test Automation Engineer, you should have experience with:

• Test Automation Frameworks - Selenium, Cypress, Playwright.
• Programming Languages – Java with strong coding and debugging skills.
• CI/CD Integration - Jenkins, GitLab CI, DevOps with test pipeline orchestration.
• API Testing & Performance - REST/GraphQL testing.
• Test Management Tool - JIRA, knowledge of JQL, filters, dashboard.

Some other highly valued skills may include:

• Cloud Testing Platforms - AWS, Azure, GCP testing services and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes).
• AI/ML Testing - Experience with testing ML models, data validation, and intelligent test generation.
• Leadership & Mentoring - Team leadership, technical mentoring, and cross-functional collaboration.
• Financial Services Domain - Banking, payments, regulatory compliance testing experience.
