AVP - GenAI Engineer

To design, develop and improve software, utilising various engineering methodologies, that provides business, platform, and technology capabilities for our customers and colleagues.

Development and delivery of high-quality software solutions by using industry aligned programming languages, frameworks, and tools. Ensuring that code is scalable, maintainable, and optimized for performance.

Cross-functional collaboration with product managers, designers, and other engineers to define software requirements, devise solution strategies, and ensure seamless integration and alignment with business objectives.

Collaboration with peers, participate in code reviews, and promote a culture of code quality and knowledge sharing.

Stay informed of industry technology trends and innovations and actively contribute to the organization's technology communities to foster a culture of technical excellence and growth.

Adherence to secure coding practices to mitigate vulnerabilities, protect sensitive data, and ensure secure software solutions.

Implementation of effective unit testing practices to ensure proper code design, readability, and reliability.

To advise and influence decision making, contribute to policy development and take responsibility for operational effectiveness. Collaborate closely with other functions/business divisions.

Lead a team performing complex tasks, using well developed professional knowledge and skills to deliver on work that impacts the whole business function. Set objectives and coach employees in pursuit of those objectives, appraisal of performance relative to objectives and determination of reward outcomes.

To be successful as an AVP - GenAI Engineer you should have experience with:

  • Design and implement robust conversational AI models using AWS ML services, including Amazon Lex, and Amazon Comprehend.
  • Develop and refine custom NLP models to enhance understanding, generation, and translation of human language in a variety of contexts.
  • Lead projects to build GenAI applications, utilizing generative models for content creation, automation, and personalized user experiences.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, software engineers, and UX designers, to integrate AI technologies seamlessly into products.
  • Stay abreast of the latest AI trends, technologies, and best practices; apply this knowledge to drive continuous innovation within our product suite.
  • Provide estimates & impact assessments for small / medium complexity engineering work.
  • Maintain system designs, ensuring quality and integrity throughout the various phases of the software development lifecycle.
  • Review test strategies to guarantee the quality of the delivered system, assist in the diagnosis of system problems encountered during testing.
  • Assist in the resolution of live incidents and system problems as and when required

Some other highly valued skills may include:

  • You will be a good communicator, able to talk to different audiences effectively and share your knowledge.
  • Experience of requirements analysis and functional design.
  • Proficient with Python
  • Expertise in NLP and conversational AI technologies, with hands-on experience building and optimizing chatbots or virtual assistants.
  • Experience in AWS would be an added advantage.
  • You may have understanding of web service development experience using REST services/APIs, JSON, XML, IVRs, Jenkins, other Cloud Platforms.
