Patient Financial Services Rep

Banner's Ortho Clinic in Greeley is seeking a Patient Financial Services Rep. You will be responsible for running insurance eligibility and benefits to determine amounts due, collecting payments, checking patients in and out, scheduling appointments, and other administrative duties as needed.

Locations: Greeley Mountain Vista office 5890 W 13th St Greeley, CO with possible coverage at Skyline Surgery Center 2555 E 13th St. Loveland, CO.

Schedule: Monday through Friday from 8am to 5pm. No Weekends!

This position coordinates a smooth patient flow process by answering phones, scheduling patient appointments, providing registration of patient and insurance information, obtaining required signatures following established processes, procedures, and standards. This position also verifies insurance coverage, validates referrals and authorizations, collects patient liability, and provides financial guidance to patients to maximize medical services reimbursement efforts. This also includes accurately posting patients at the point of service and releasing information in accordance with organizational and compliance policies and guidelines.

Core functions include performing registration/check-in processes, verifying insurance eligibility benefits for services rendered with the payors, calculating and collecting patient liability according to verification of insurance benefits and expected reimbursement, entering payments/charges for services rendered, scheduling office visits and procedures, demonstrating proactive interpersonal communications skills, assisting in responding to requests for patient medical records, and providing a variety of patient services to assist in patient flow.

Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma/GED or equivalent working knowledge, knowledge of patient financial services, financial, collecting services, or insurance industry experience processes, strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills, and strong knowledge in the use of common office software.
