Banner Estrella Medical Center was built in 2005 in west Phoenix to meet the health care needs of a growing West Valley community. A full-service medical campus, the 317 all-private bed hospital offers an array of medical services, including heart care, emergency services, general surgery, weight loss surgery, medical imaging, orthopedic surgery and a comprehensive maternity services program.
The Director for Acute Rehabilitation and Respiratory Services will run the daily operations of the rehabilitation and respiratory departments and will have a multidisciplinary scope of responsibility which are currently: RT, PT-OT-Speech, Cardiac and Rehab, Cardio Diagnostics (Echo EKG) & Vascular Access.
The schedule is generally Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm.

POSITION SUMMARY This position is responsible for developing and implementing strategies for the designated service line/division. This position provides leadership and direction in the pursuit of producing targeted results and ensuring that the care provided is of the highest clinical and service quality and provided in a financially responsible manner.
CORE FUNCTIONS
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Requires a level of business and clinical knowledge as normally obtained through the completion of a Master's Degree in business administration, health services administration or related field. May require current clinical and/or administrator licensure in state of practice based on regulatory requirements and clinical scope. Knowledge of healthcare management as typically obtained through five years of progressive experience in healthcare operations. Must possess a strong knowledge and understanding of healthcare trends and financial management of healthcare operations. Knowledge of the requirements of the various regulatory and accrediting agencies as applicable. Requires strong written and oral communication skills. Must demonstrate strong decision-making, critical thinking and group facilitation skills along with the ability to lead change and to rapidly prioritize needs. Ability to develop strong relationships with suppliers and customers. Analytical and critical thinking skills are required to integrate and interpret data from diverse sources. Ability to integrate information to establish business priorities, decisions and budgets. Must be highly computer literate. Employees working for Banner Home Care AZ must possess an Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card at the time of hire and maintain the card for the duration of their employment.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS BSN highly preferred for Home Care service line. Familiarity with Transplant Service needs highly preferred for Transplant service line. Additional related education and/or experience preferred.
