Banner Staffing Services Per Diem

This position works as a member of the food service team on one or more assignments in cleaning, food preparation, patient trayline or retail café. Provides service and assistance to patients, staff and other customers in accordance with established dietary and retail cafe policies and procedures.

Schedule: Weekends are required. 11:00am-7:30pm and 2:00pm-10:30pm.

Registry/Per Diem positions do not have guaranteed hours and no medical benefits package is offered. Completion of post-offer occupational health physical assessment, drug screen and background check (includes; employment, criminal and education) is required.

Core functions include setting up workstations, preparing foods, cleaning and sanitizing dishes and utensils, maintaining par levels of food and supplies, checking and recording food and equipment temperatures, delivering meals and nourishments, handling transactions at cash register, and interacting with food service department personnel, hospital staff, patients, and families.

Minimum qualifications include the ability to learn and follow established policy and procedures, read and understand written and verbal instructions, communicate effectively, provide customer service, learn food handling regulations, and pass certification tests as required. For Banner Staffing Services team members, the food handlers' card is required with 30 days of hire. Employees working at Banner Behavioral Health Hospital, Boswell Skilled Nursing Facility, Olive Branch Senior Center, or the Whole Health Clinic must possess an Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card at the time of hire and maintain the card for the duration of their employment.
