We are now looking for a Virtual Desktop Engineer who wants to take technical ownership of our virtual client environment and help develop the area forward.

About the role

The role is broad and combines technical specialist work, coordination, and work in a customer context. You will be the technical owner of the virtual desktop environment and work closely with both internal teams and external suppliers to ensure that the platform develops, functions stably, and meets the business's needs. The environment is today Citrix-based and used by several external suppliers who need access to Bankgirot's systems.

In the role, you will:

• Drive technical improvements and changes within the virtual desktop environment
• Make requirements and develop solution proposals together with the supplier and internal stakeholders
• Work on packaging, patching, and further development of applications
• Participate in testing, implementation, and quality assurance of changes
• Follow up on incidents, problems, and change issues related to the platform
• Contribute to strengthened processes, proactive lifecycle management, and technical roadmap

You need to have sufficient technical height to understand solutions, make requirements, and ensure quality in the work.

We want you to:

Have a technical background in Virtual Desktop or Workplace environments and thrive in a role where you combine technical depth with responsibility and collaboration. You are solution-oriented, structured, and enjoy working in an environment where you can influence and create long-term structure.

To succeed in the role, we see that you have:

• Experience with Citrix, preferably with a focus on management and further development of the platform
• Experience with Windows administration as well as a basic understanding of Linux environments
• Experience with scripting and automation
• Good understanding of ITIL processes
• Experience working closely with users, suppliers, and internal stakeholders
