We are currently seeking a Kafka Engineer for a growing part of the organization in Stockholm.
As a Kafka Engineer, you will be involved in establishing and further developing a robust, secure, and scalable platform for real-time data and modern integration solutions. You will be responsible for ensuring that our Kafka environment functions effectively and reliably, working closely with developers, platform teams, and security functions.
You will work both proactively and reactively – from design and implementation to operation, monitoring, and troubleshooting. The role is technically broad and suits someone who wants to combine deep technical expertise with a holistic perspective on system architecture, security, and performance.
Who are you? You are an experienced technician with a passion for distributed systems, data flows, and robust infrastructure. You work structured, have a security-focused approach, and thrive in environments with high availability requirements. To succeed in the role, we believe you have a very good knowledge of Apache Kafka and platform architecture, as well as experience with various parts of the Kafka ecosystem such as Connect, ksqlDB, and Schema Registry. You also have a good understanding of automation and Infrastructure as Code, with tools like Ansible and Terraform, as well as experience with CI/CD tools. We see that you are used to working with container platforms like Kubernetes or Docker and have good insight into security, access control, and logging in distributed systems. You have probably worked in business-critical environments where availability and security are central requirements, and you have a relevant higher education degree or equivalent practical experience.
