Network Security Engineer

Bankgirot is now seeking a Network Security Engineer for a growing part of the organization in Stockholm.

As a Network Security Engineer, you will work operationally to monitor, configure, and further develop network security solutions – for example, firewalls, IDS/IPS, NDR, and segmentation. You will ensure that our network traffic and our security solutions maintain the highest possible level and follow both internal security policies and external regulatory requirements. The role requires close collaboration with tech lead, operations, development, and security functions and involves both proactive and reactive work – from implementation and configuration to traffic and event analysis, incident management, and documentation.

You will become an important part of our commitment to Zero Trust and contribute to creating a robust and future-proof network architecture. The work takes place in a dynamic and complex IT environment where you will have great responsibility and the opportunity to influence how our technical solutions develop.

Who You Are You have a genuine interest in cybersecurity and thrive in complex IT environments where availability, security, and quality are central parts. With a solution-oriented and structured approach, you are driven to work in a dynamic organization in change.

To succeed in the role, we see that you have experience working operationally with network security in technically advanced environments. You have worked with Next Generation Firewalls (NGFW), IDS/IPS, NDR, and VPN, and have a good understanding of network topology, segmentation, and preferably NSX. You also have good knowledge of TCP/IP, network anomalies, and intrusion detection, as well as experience with HSM, PKI, and certificate management in network contexts. It is meritorious if you have worked with Zero Trust architecture or have experience with SOC and SIEM tools.
