We are now looking for a Mainframe Engineer who wants to work closely with the delivery in a role where collaboration, follow-up, and understanding of complex systems are in focus.

About the role

As a Mainframe Engineer, you work in the borderland between technology, delivery, and collaboration. The role is about understanding the whole, following up on delivery, and ensuring that the right work is carried out by external suppliers, rather than working hands-on in the systems yourself.

You work closely with suppliers and internal functions, where the focus is on follow-up, coordination, and driving issues forward in an environment with many dependencies.

In the role, you will, among other things:

• Follow up and quality assure the mainframe delivery together with our suppliers
• Participate in dialogues with suppliers and internal stakeholders
• Contribute to clear technical orders and ensure implementation
• Follow up incidents, changes, and activities related to the delivery

Here you will become part of an environment where you can use your technical understanding in a larger context and work with the whole rather than just a delimited specialist part.

We want you to

Have experience within mainframe and thrive in a role where you can get involved in complex systems and understand how everything fits together in practice. You are structured, curious, and have an easy way to collaborate with different departments in the organization.

To succeed in the role, we see that you have:

• Several years of experience working in a mainframe environment
• Understanding of batch jobs and how systems interact in larger flows
• Experience of operations-close work
• Experience of delivery in complex IT environments
• Some experience with RACF or similar authorization systems
