As a Linux engineer at Bankgirot, you will be part of a growing Linux team that is currently being formed, where you together with colleagues and our Tech Lead will have a key role in both operating and further developing our new Greenfield environment.

The role is broad and varied – you will work on everything from daily operations and troubleshooting to automation, security hardening, and application operations. You will have great responsibility for the Linux platform and work proactively to streamline environments, introduce new solutions, and contribute to high availability and security. You will also have the opportunity to influence technical choices, establish routines, and help build long-term expertise in the field – in an organization with a high security focus and a socially important mission.

Your main responsibilities include:

• Operate and further develop our new Linux infrastructure with a focus on availability, security, and efficiency
• Be responsible for the operation, maintenance, and monitoring of servers, users, and applications
• Perform troubleshooting and log analysis to ensure stable and secure operation
• Automate and standardize environments with Bash and Ansible
• Ensure correct configuration, permissions, and hardening of systems
• Manage application operations for web and email services in the Linux environment
