This role will coordinate the necessary work activities beyond the organization's boundaries to ensure Baker Hughes executes the work according to client expectations and contract terms.

Job Description

Coordinate and ensure the safe, efficient, and high-quality delivery of drilling and completion fluid services, from engineering and planning to operational execution and follow-up, ensuring well stability, client satisfaction, and compliance with financial and operational objectives of the operation.

Technical And Operational Planning

  • Develop drilling, completion, and workover fluid programs according to well and client requirements.
  • Ensure availability of materials, chemicals, barite, brines, synthetic bases, and associated tools.
  • Coordinate mixing, conditioning, and laboratory testing (rheology, filtration, stability, density, compatibility).
  • Validate design integrity in collaboration with the engineering and geomechanics team.

Operational Supervision

  • Monitor key parameters during drilling and completion:
    • Rheology
    • Density/ECD
    • Solids control
    • Chemical stability
  • Ensure strict compliance with BHGE procedures and applicable API/ISO standards.
  • Provide technical support to on-site personnel and resolve real-time operational deviations.

Client Relationship

  • Be the main point of contact for all phases of the fluid service.
  • Present proposals, optimizations, and technical solutions focused on:
    • Loss prevention
    • Well stability
    • Minimization of non-productive time (NPT)
    • Reduction of fluid costs
  • Participate in DWOP, HAZOP, pre-job, and post-job meetings.

Cost Control, AOR, And KPIs

  • Supervise consumption, inventories, and costs of chemicals and materials.
  • Perform economic-operational analysis of each project phase.
  • Prepare final reports with performance metrics, relevant events, learning, and recommendations.

HSE Compliance

  • Ensure the safe handling of chemicals and waste according to HSE standards.
  • Lead safety initiatives, promote STOP WORK, and support incident investigations.
  • Ensure that field personnel comply with certifications, PPE, and environmental procedures.

Quality And Continuous Improvement

  • Monitor fluid quality at all stages: laboratory, mixing, pumping, and well performance.
  • Implement best practices based on lessons learned and internal audits.
  • Follow up on quality incidents, ensuring effective corrective actions.

3. Position Requirements

Education

  • Petroleum Engineering, Chemistry, Geochemistry, Mechanical, or related field.

Experience

  • Minimum 5 years in drilling and/or completion fluid operations.
  • Experience in:
    • Water-based and oil-based systems
    • Completion brines (NaCl, KCl, CaClâ‚‚, CaBrâ‚‚, ZnBrâ‚‚, etc.)
    • Solids control and associated equipment
    • Prevention and treatment of common problems: losses, blockages, swelling, contamination

Technical Knowledge

  • Fluid laboratory, system design, hydraulic simulations.
