As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will be responsible for:
- Designing and implementing production processes, tooling and equipment into new and existing production lines, incorporating validation and process controls to ensure ongoing process stability and consistency.
- Leading or coordinating as part of a team with other engineering functions to provide support or technical guidance support on projects, to deliver technical customer requirements with aspects critical to quality.
- Leading or participating in significant projects and investigations, involving complex issue diagnosis and resolution. Drive to root cause and implements solutions to manufacturing or test processes and ensure lessons learned are shared.
- Reviewing of business wide controlling documentation, software and investigations. Review content of company-wide documentation, with awareness of applicable regulatory standards.
- Acting as a key member of the manufacturing engineering team, supporting major programs from development to production and business as usual through process planning, change management and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Leading and motivating teams to achieve manufacturing business milestones.
Fuel your passion
To be successful in this role you will:
- HND / technical degree or equivalent experience in mechanical or manufacturing engineering discipline.
- Ability to use CAD (previous knowledge of Solidworks is an advantage) to design fixtures and analyse product designs.
- Current or recent manufacturing engineer position in similar engineering industry.
- Experience in engineering processes & tooling capability.
- Strong experience in assembly techniques and good attention to detail of components and assemblies.
- Background in reviewing and approving engineering drawings of components and assemblies.
- An understanding of MRP system, engineering and manufacturing bill of materials.
- Depth of experience in driving process improvement.
- Having good interpersonal skills and be able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good working knowledge of Continuous Improvement methodology & tools.
- Ability to efficiently convert technical information & engineering drawing data into work instructions & technical narratives (Essential)
