F-35 Sustainment Program Director

With a worldwide fleet of 1,200+ aircraft, supporting the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter's Electronic Warfare (EW) suite is no small task. Maintaining the premier multirole, 5th Generation combat aircraft requires continuous innovation to keep the fleet mission ready across the globe. Are you up to the challenge? The growing F-35 EW Sustainment team is seeking a customer and technology focused leader to drive our performance, efficiency and growth in areas that directly impact operational fleet capabilities, readiness and concurrent development: Operational Flight Program (OFP) Software, Mission Data File (MDF) Reprogramming and our System Integration Labs (SILs). This newly created, critical position will lead a portfolio of programs to proactively address fleet/field issues, drive strategic initiatives, remove roadblocks and mitigate risks across an array of F-35 customers and stakeholders. The successful candidate will have strong leadership, program management and business acumen skills with the ability to navigate classified software and integration lab environments and collaborate across sustainment and development program boundaries. This role reports to the F-35 Sustainment Director within the F-35 Solutions Product Line and Electronic Combat Solutions (ECS) Business Area. This role is initially full-time onsite at our Manchester, NH facility to support current program/business requirements. Long term, the role will be a mix of hybrid flexibility with a strong onsite presence in Manchester to interface with F-35 Leadership and our teams operating in our labs.

The Program Director will:

  • Manage and drive the F-35 Sustainment Operational Capabilities IPT
  • Engage and lead the portfolio teams: Software (NH); SILs (NH/NJ) and Reprogramming Labs team (NH and Eglin AFB FL)
  • Collaborate and drive growth campaigns
  • Interact with senior-leadership and customers concerning contracts and strategies
  • Be a key member of the F-35 Sustainment leadership team
  • Manage direct report(s)

Required Education, Experience, & Skills:

  • Program Management: Proven manager on large, complex projects responsible for all aspects of project objectives (performance, quality, schedule, cost, customer satisfaction)
  • Strategy & Problem-Solving: Advanced conceptual thinking in complex and/or completely new situations with the ability to develop and execute an entrepreneurial strategy to shape the strategic direction of a complex program
  • Interpersonal Skills: Outstanding customer and stakeholder relationship skills, within and outside the business, with experience presenting to senior leaders and customers
  • Leadership Skills: Demonstrated leadership skills developing teams, and coaching/mentoring program leads with the ability to achieve results through others
  • Collaboration Skills: Ability to collaborate across product areas and functions to develop a high-level of total program cohesion
  • Negotiation Skills: Ability to negotiate with internal and external customers and partners to achieve program goals, meet business requirements, and optimize stakeholder satisfaction
  • Demonstrated leadership in Safety, Code of Conduct/Ethics, Security and Culture
  • Risk and Opportunity management skills at a portfolio level
  • Active SECRET clearance; ability to obtain a higher clearance

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills:

  • Master's Degree
  • Program Management Professional (PMP) Certification
  • DoD Sustainment / Product Support program experience
  • Technical acumen and experience with EW, integration labs, RF Stimulators, software/firmware and mission data files

Pay Information:

Full-Time Salary Range: $150370 - $255630 Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
