Principal Mobile Device Support Engineer

As a Principal Mobile Device Support Engineer, you'll play a critical role in supporting mobile communications infrastructure for a large government enterprise contract, serving the customer. This is a unique opportunity to develop, plan, and implement mobile communications solutions to ensure secure, reliable connectivity for government users across devices and networks. Aligned with federal standards like NIST, FISMA, and ITIL 4 practices, you'll drive innovation in mobile ecosystems, from device provisioning to network optimization, to enable seamless, compliant mobility in mission-critical operations.

As a senior mobile device support engineer, you'll be responsible for developing mobile communications solutions, including custom applications, device configurations, and integration with enterprise systems to support secure data transfer and user mobility. You'll plan mobile infrastructure projects, conduct needs assessments, risk analyses, and roadmap development to align with government requirements for scalability and resilience. Your expertise will help drive seamless integration, compliance, and secure mobile communications.

Location Requirement

The successful candidate must be located within 50 miles of Vicksburg, MS.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Telecommunications Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience)

6+ years of experience in mobile device support engineering, with hands-on expertise developing, planning, and implementing mobile communications solutions in government or large enterprise environments

Proven track record deploying and optimizing mobile ecosystems for secure, reliable connectivity

Active DoD Secret Clearance (must be current and transferable)

Strong knowledge of federal mobile standards (e.g., NIST 800-124, FISMA) and ITIL practices for service design and operations

Proficiency in mobile tools (e.g., MDM platforms, wireless protocols like 5G/LTE) and analysis software

Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills for solution implementation and team collaboration

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

IEEE WCET (Wireless Communications Engineering Technologies) certification

Experience supporting DoD or large federal mobile communications, including device integration with secure networks

ITIL 4 Foundation certification

Background in mobile app development (e.g., iOS/Android SDK) and network simulation tools (e.g., NS-3)

Master's degree in a relevant field or additional certifications (e.g., CompTIA Mobility+)

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $81336 - $138271

Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
