With supervision installs, tests, maintains, troubleshoots, repairs, and removes electrical, mechanical, and/or hydraulic systems and related equipment. Primary duties and responsibilities include: assisting with the install, testing, maintenance, repair, and removal of electrical, mechanical, and/or hydraulic systems and equipment; assisting with the testing or experiments requiring selection and adaptation of modification of a wide variety of test equipment and test procedures; assisting in setting up and operating equipment and recording data; responding to fleet emergency calls from customers and assigned field service personnel and maintaining an inventory of parts and tooling for all field service operations; assisting in the preparation of documentation and coordinating the movement of these items to assigned field operations; maintaining a safe work environment and ensuring compliance with safety objectives and policies; and sharing responsibility for self-development with immediate supervisor.
High school/GED plus 6 years of relevant work experience to work with basic electrical/mechanical/hydraulic instrumentation tools and hardware related to Mk38 GWS. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Intermediate level proficiency with word processing, presentation, spreadsheet, database, email, and calendar software. Ability to gather information from a variety of sources. Working knowledge of the organization's structure, management, and policies. Excellent time management and multitasking skills. Ability to work effectively with other personnel, inside and outside the organization.
Relevant coursework or training related to Navy weapon systems.
Full-time salary range: $54560 - $87340. Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures.
