BAE Systems is looking for a motivated Mechanical/Aerospace Engineer to join the Weapon System Assessment and Reference Models (WSARM) team for an exciting opportunity supporting the Minuteman III Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) system program. The successful candidate will be an integral part of a talented and highly skilled team that supports Air Force Nuclear Weapons Center (AFNWC) and Air Force Global Strike Command (AFGSC) with reference model updates and integration with flight software. This role offers a unique opportunity to support the Minuteman III ICBM program with a team of subject matter experts. The advancement of technical skills and analysis capabilities are emphasized while producing high-quality products and effectively supporting government customers. This position will directly support the following WSARM tasks: provide reference model integration support, update various reference models used to evaluate MMIII missile performance, provide support to evaluate vehicle performance, provide engineering support to investigate off-nominal vehicle performance through Monte Carlo analysis, perform mass properties evaluations in support of design change assessments, perform missile system, missile vehicle body dynamics, and performance analyses, support non-destructive evaluation of new hardware system level impacts, and publish various briefing materials and reports. The position is located at Hill AFB, Utah.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills: Bachelor of Science in an Engineering field from an ABET accredited program. 0 to 2 years directly related experience Technical writing and presentation skills. Background in structural, thermal, fluids, dynamics analyses. Position level is a Junior Aerospace/Mechanical Engineer.

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills: Bachelor of Science in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering. Matlab, C, C++ programming languages are desired. Python, Fortran, Ada programming languages are desired. NASTRAN education is desired.

Pay Information: Full-Time Salary Range: $59023 - $100339. Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
