Field Service Engineer II

Job Title

The selected candidate's responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Provide bi-weekly progress reports for all shipboard and local activities on the test bed
• Assist in directing the day to day task of lower level employees
• Order equipment / material using SASSI as needed
• Provide feedback to management as requested
• Perform tasking with minimal supervision
• Conduct analysis of product implementations, modifications in accordance with customer direction
• Troubleshoot technical problems and issues and determine solutions to correct the issue
• Assess product needs in accordance with customer specifications
• Integrate electrical equipment and cables into electrical cabinets on DDG 51 Arleigh Burke class ships and Polar Security Cutter class ships
• Travel as required

This position is located in scenic and historic Southern Maryland in the St. Mary's County Technology Corridor adjacent to the Patuxent River Naval Air Station. There is no monetary relocation assistance budgeted for this position. Applicants must be currently residing in or state willingness to relocate self to St. Mary's County, Maryland or surrounding areas.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills

High School diploma and at least 10 years of related work experience on DDG 51 Arleigh Burke Class Ships and DDG 1000 Zumwalt Class Ships Knowledge of SASSI Experience leading employees on AIT installs and/or directing the work of lower level technicians Capable of being certified in Cable Fabrication in accordance with BAE Systems standards Very strong mechanical and electrical skills Team player

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

Highly motivated individual with a strong mechanical and electrical background Strong background in integrating cables and equipment into electrical cabinets Strong leader capable of performing installs with minimal or no supervision

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $77809 - $132275 Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
