Decontamination Assistant Responsibilities:
Prepares, processes, maintains, and distributes surgical instrumentation and equipment to medical personnel in designated areas of the hospital for the delivery of medical care to our patients.
Performs soiled collection of reusable contaminated surgical instrumentation, clinical patient care equipment, and other items.
Performs the decontamination of contaminated patient care equipment and surgical instrumentation.
Performs the preparation, packaging, and terminal sterilization of surgical instrumentation and special procedure trays.
Operates and monitors all reprocessing and sterilization equipment.
Performs quality assurance performance monitoring of the in-house sterilization process.
Decontamination Assistant Requirements:
High School or Equivalent (GED)
Entry Level
Ability to read, write, hear, speak, and comprehend the English language.
Salary Range: $15.00 to $22.00/hr (based on experience)
Night and evening shift differential
