Surgical Coordinator
This position is responsible for the successful completion of the surgical scheduling process for patients requiring elective surgery at Sturdy Memorial Hospital.
Required Skills/Qualifications/Training/Experience:
- Three to five years previous experience in medical office.
- Command of verbal and written English, positive interpersonal communication skills, and good organizational skills.
- Understanding of referral and prior authorization process.
- Demonstrates strong organizational skills.
- Able to work collaboratively with surgeons, the hospital surgical schedulers, and the PCPs office staff.
- Ability to effectively communicate with patients.
Preferred Skills/Qualifications/Training/Experience:
- Knowledge of medical terminology.
- Computer skills.
- Knowledge of physician appointments and schedule management.
- Ability to work independently.
Educational Requirements:
- High school graduate or equivalent, two year Associates degree or equivalent experience.
License/Certification: N/A

Salary Range: $21.72-$26.59
