Job Summary: Responsible for research critical analysis preparation review and internal consulting in preparation for filing the annual Medicare Medicaid and Champus/Tricare cost reports and State of Tennessee reimbursement reporting for the system. Prepares cost report re-openings and appeal papers audit preparation and other cost report settlement activity and related supporting reserve worksheets for financial statement preparation. Collaborates with others in finance and management in the reimbursement regulations and regulatory operational and financial impacts of proposed operational decisions throughout the system. This role requires a deep understanding of healthcare reimbursement processes financial reporting and regulatory requirements.
Job Requirements: Bachelor's Accounting/Finance or 5 years equivalent work experience required. Microsoft Excel required. RHC/FQHC required. Strong analytical problem-solving and communication skills required. IME/GME preferred. In-depth knowledge of government reimbursement rules and regulations preferred. 5 years experience in hospital third party reimbursement and cost reporting preferred.
