John D. Archbold Memorial Hospital Bio-Med Thomasville GA Support Full Time Day Shift 8am-4:30pm with on call rotation
Ensure all equipment is in good working order. Troubleshoot complex medical equipment. Perform preventative maintenance inspections. Use technical skills to reduce the cost of maintaining ventilators, sterilizers, patient monitors, surgical and other medical equipment. Ensure all equipment records are kept accurate and up to date. Prioritize, initiate, and complete work orders timely. Ensure all reports are accurate and complete when due. Maintain a parts inventory file on all assigned equipment. Ensure the cost of all jobs are performed at the lowest cost and highest quality. Keep current on JCAHO and other regulatory standards.
Education/Experience: Graduate of an accredited technical school associate degree with major in electronics. Must have at least 4 years of experience servicing medical instrumentation two of which should be in cardiac monitoring/respiratory therapy/life support equipment. Must have specialized training in technology aspects of medical instrumentation. Significant knowledge in repair programs, preventive maintenance programs, and other regulatory agency standards and codes. Must have good communication and interpersonal skills.
