The Director will oversee Environmental Services at Barnes Jewish Hospital, Barnes Jewish West County Hospital, Goldfarb School of Nursing, and the PCDC Center. They will lead and provide daily and strategic direction for Environmental Services, set long-term vision, and align practices according to regulatory requirements and best practices for infection prevention. This leader will provide leadership and make sound decisions in support of the hospitals' mission.

Barnes-Jewish Hospital at Washington University Medical Center is the largest hospital in Missouri and is ranked as one of the nation's top hospitals by U.S. News & World Report. Barnes-Jewish Hospital's staff is composed of full-time academic faculty and community physicians of Washington University School of Medicine supported by a house staff of residents, interns, fellows, and other medical professionals. Recognizing its excellence in nursing care, Barnes-Jewish Hospital was the first adult hospital in Missouri to be certified as a Magnet Hospital by the American Nurses Credentialing Center. Barnes-Jewish Extended Care is part of the Barnes-Jewish continuum of top-ranked compassionate care. It is a 120-bed skilled nursing facility located at 401 Corporate Park Drive in Clayton, Missouri. Organized as a hospital-based facility, Barnes-Jewish Extended Care is under the direction of Barnes-Jewish Hospital medical staff with full support of laboratory and rehabilitation departments. Services range from minimal assistance to subacute post-hospital recovery. Our patients range from the young to the elderly as well as post-trauma rehabilitation patients and those in need of hospice or respite care. The Housekeeping Department at BJEC is responsible for delivering a clean and safe environment of care for our patients and residents.

The Director will manage individuals including onboarding, hiring, training, workload management, and performance evaluations. They will ensure that the productivity and actions of the group meet the overall operational goals of the department. They will develop and adhere to departmental staffing, revenue, and expense budgets. They will develop a strategic plan for the department and have oversight for daily operations. They will establish a department dashboard to monitor KPIs and the effectiveness of the cleaning programs. They will ensure programs meet regulatory requirements and infection prevention standards and that all required reporting and regulations are met.

Minimum requirements include a Bachelor's Degree in Finance/Business/related and 5-10 years of experience. Supervisor experience of 2-5 years is also required.
