We have an opening for a Patient Services Representative (PSR) III at Garden State OB/GYN in Voorhees, NJ. Hours: 40 hours/week - Office Hours: Mon-Thurs 8a-8:15p; Fri 8a-4p. Location(s): Voorhees, Moorestown (as needed).

Patient Service Representative III (PSR III) The Patient Service Representative III (PSR III) plays a vital role in delivering a seamless and positive experience for all patients at Axia Women's Health. Serving as both the initial and final point of contact for in-office visitors and incoming callers, the PSR III is responsible for providing exceptional customer service while managing a variety of front-desk responsibilities. This includes scheduling and modifying appointments, responding to patient inquiries, and supporting daily administrative workflows. The PSR III ensures that each patient interaction reflects Axia's commitment to quality, compassion, and efficiency.

Essential Functions include:

  • Greeting patients and visitors in a professional and courteous manner, providing assistance and directing them to the appropriate waiting area.
  • Notifying appropriate personnel to meet and escort patients to the exam room.
  • Promptly and professionally routing phone calls via direct transfer, paging, voicemail, or redirect as needed.
  • Retrieving and appropriately routing any messages from the answering service.
  • Courteously screening solicitors for relevance to organizational needs.
  • Performing registration functions for new or existing patients and activating patient files.
  • Effectively collecting and recording copayments as required.
  • Collecting and distributing mail accurately and in a timely manner to designated recipients within the care center.
  • Offering comprehensive financial support to patients and colleagues regarding complex claim and billing inquiries.
  • Demonstrating a strong understanding of insurance and billing claims to accurately interpret information and execute void transactions when required.
  • Reviewing and verifying patient insurance coverage to determine eligibility and provide comprehensive communication regarding any applicable benefit limitations.
  • Ensuring accurate and efficient chart completion, including scanning records, organizing inbound faxes, and generating related reports and claims as needed.
  • Assisting with scheduling patient appointments and follow-up visits.
  • Ensuring accurate and detailed documentation of patient encounters.
  • Demonstrating appropriate chaperone technique and documentation, when necessary.
  • Providing additional support to patients and medical staff as needed.
  • Addressing and resolving low-level patient grievances professionally using company policies, while also acting as a liaison to escalate and facilitate resolution of issues with management.
  • Working collaboratively with clinical colleagues, management, and other staff to ensure efficient practice operations.
  • Overseeing the orientation and training of new PSRs, ensuring they are familiar with care center protocols and procedures.
  • Ensuring compliance with all Standard Operation Procedures (SOP's) and policies (including HIPAA & OSHA).
  • Adhering to practice policies, procedures, and protocols.
  • Participating in team meetings and contributing to quality improvement initiatives.
  • Leading by example in embodying the organization's mission, vision, and values. Mentoring and guiding junior staff in ethical practices and professional behavior. Taking a proactive role in fostering a culture of integrity, accountability, and excellence, ensuring all colleagues are aligned with and committed to the organization's long-term vision and objectives.

  • Ability to work a flexible schedule and provide coverage at satellite locations, where applicable, as needed.

Experience and Education include:

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • 2+ years of experience as Medical Receptionist / PSR
  • OB/GYN or Women's Health experience preferred, but not required.

Pay or shift range: $16 USD to $21 USD. The estimated range is the budgeted amount for this position. Final offers are based on various factors, including skill set, experience, location, qualifications and other job-related reasons.
