The Patient Service Representative I (PSR I) plays a vital role in delivering a seamless and positive experience for all patients at Axia Women's Health. Serving as both the initial and final point of contact for in-office visitors and incoming callers, the PSR I is responsible for providing exceptional customer service while managing a variety of front-desk responsibilities. This includes scheduling and modifying appointments, responding to patient inquiries, and supporting daily administrative workflows. The PSR I ensures that each patient interaction reflects Axia's commitment to quality, compassion, and efficiency.
Essential functions include greeting patients and visitors in a professional and courteous manner, notifying appropriate personnel to meet and escort patients to the exam room, promptly and professionally routing phone calls, retrieving and appropriately routing messages, courteously screening solicitors, performing registration functions, collecting and recording copayments, verifying patient insurance eligibility, assisting with scheduling patient appointments, ensuring accurate documentation, providing additional support, working collaboratively with staff, ensuring compliance with policies, participating in team meetings, demonstrating commitment to the organization's mission, and contributing to a positive work environment.
Skills include excellent customer service, multitasking, compassion, time management, teamwork, adaptability, flexible scheduling, verbal and written communication, and medical receptionist experience.
Education: High School diploma or equivalent required. Medical Receptionist/Patient Service Representative experience preferred, but not required.
