Job Description
As an Estimator & Inside Sales Specialist at Arrive Alive Traffic Control, a proud member of the AWP Safety family, you will play a vital role in generating accurate, competitive bids that support the success of our traffic control projects, while also prospecting and performing the sales cycle for lead qualifications. This role requires a strong understanding of traffic control plans, specifications, and industry standards. The ideal candidate is analytical, detail-oriented, possesses a strong sales acumen and is eager to grow within the construction and traffic safety industry.

Plan Review & Takeoffs
- Analyze construction plans and traffic control drawings.
- Perform detailed material and labor takeoffs (e.g., cones, signs, flaggers).
- Identify missing or unclear information and flag for clarification.
- Stay informed on local, state, and federal traffic control regulations.
Estimate Development
- Calculate labor, material, and equipment costs using takeoff data.
- Generate formal quotes and proposals using estimating software.
- Adjust pricing based on project scope, location, and client needs.
- Track bid deadlines and ensure timely proposal submissions.
Client Communication
- Communicate with clients and contractors to clarify project details.
- Revise estimates based on feedback or scope changes.
- Follow up on submitted bids and awarded projects with contractors.
- Build and maintain strong, professional relationships with clients and contractors.
Inside Sales
- Sales prospecting, including warm calls and consistent email outreach to both current and net-new accounts.
- Build and maintain strong professional relationships through networking and proactive communication.
- Follow up on inbound leads and identify qualified opportunities, providing the right information at the right time to interested prospects.
- Present solutions in a personable and consultative manner to align with client needs.
- Work closely with the Operations team to ensure successful scheduling and follow-up of work.
- Handle customer escalation issues with professionalism and collaborate with internal teams to resolve them promptly.
Team Collaboration
- Support Senior Estimator with daily estimating tasks.
- Coordinate with operations for smooth project handoff after awarded.
- Participate in internal reviews and contribute to process improvements.
Qualifications
- FDOT Advanced MOT or ATSSA certification preferred.
- Ability to read and comprehend traffic control plans preferred.
- Working knowledge of the MUTCD (Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices) and FDOT Standard Specifications preferred.
- 2-4 years of experience in estimating, construction, or a related field
- 1 + years of Sales or client-facing experience, especially in roles involving negotiation or business.
- Must be able to quantitatively perform plan QTY takeoffs.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Personable, pragmatic, and professional demeanor.
- Proactive, self-motivated, and results-driven with a strong desire to win work.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Experience with estimating software.
- Excellent attention to detail, organization, and time management.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Willingness to learn, take direction, and grow within the company.

Compensation: $73K - 83K base + 10% AIP Bonus
The base pay offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
