Systems Integration Software Engineer
A Systems Integration Software Engineer strives to enhance the full stack possibilities of control system programming. This function applies traditional software engineering tools, languages, and principles to the AV integration process of embedded control system programming. This role will be developing new technologies and working with our partners to improve products and applications. This role will also enable production programmers to leverage these tools and technologies through seamless integrations, knowledge transfer, and supporting others leveraging these technologies directly. Providing leadership and guidance to a wide range of programmers with varying skill sets is required.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain libraries for major platforms for internal AVI-SPL use.
- Develop and maintain unit, integration, and regression tests for those libraries.
- Generate development documentation for field programmers to implement.
- Provide support of those libraries to the field programmers.
- Provide support and training to the field programmers to ensure global standards are defined.
- Train others on new and upcoming technologies and tools.
- Other duties assigned as needed.

Education and/or Experience
- Minimum high school diploma or equivalent.
- Formal education in Computer Science, Electronics, or related field preferred.
- Minimum 4 years' experience with Object Oriented programming languages.
- Demonstrated experience with video conferencing services/devices and deploying 3rd party control systems.
- Demonstrated experience with C#, Javascript, Lua, HTML, CSS, Powershell Scripting.
- Demonstrated experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated build processes.
- Understanding of agile software development methodologies.
Working Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. The work environment is generally moderate in noise (inter-office conversations and computers/printers).
Physical Requirements
This position regularly requires employees to sit, walk, and stand; talk or hear, both in person and by telephone; use hands repetitively to finger, handle, feel or operate standard office equipment.
