Job Title: Field Service Technician

The AVI-SPL Field Service Technician will work in partnership with the Global Helpdesk to provide service support for customers at on-site locations with the end goals of restoring functionality to our customers' assets while delivering a world-class customer service experience.
Essential duties and responsibilities:
- Perform onsite dispatch for AV system break-fixing
- Perform preventative maintenance tasks to help maintain customer spaces including but not limited to: testing/repairing cables, testing/repairing various hardware components
- Field installation of control programs (AMX / Crestron/Firmware) – upload and download capability
- Field service support of networked devices (Routers, IP Protocols, etc.)
- Perform service tasks in a timely and quality conscious manner including but not limited to: pulling cable, installing connectors, mounting projects and hanging ceiling mounts
- Assist next level service technicians as needed
- Provide client training as needed
- Setup and troubleshoot various audio/video systems
- Working within a team shift pattern set out by the AV Team Lead
- Performs other AV related tasks as directed by the client
- Travel to various job sites as required
- Occasional support for cover tech team for onsite backfilling – this includes meeting room set ups, troubleshooting, and live event support
Other duties assigned as needed.
What we're looking for:
Skills and abilities:
- Effectively communicate with employees, customers, and colleagues
- Ability to use hand and power tools in a safe and efficient manner
- Analyse incidents and resolve them
- Knowledge of signal flow for audio video and control
- Knowledge of various AV equipments, including but not limited to, Crestron, Shure, Biamp, Cisco, Logi, QSC, etc.
- Programming capability (AMX/Creston/Etc.) - changes and troubleshooting, is a bonus
Education and/or experience:
- Minimum of 3-5 years of audiovisual integration experience preferred
- Formal education in Electronics or related field preferred
- Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
- Good communication of English with Cantonese & Mandarin as a bonus
